These are homes that have been "renovated" to feature things like pipes running through living rooms, bedrooms strung together like garlic cloves, and fluorescent floors.
It's scary what people do to their homes.

Here are my annual "Can you believe it? The Creeping Phlox are blooming in Auburn Park!" pictures. You'd think by now I wouldn't be surprised by this, but every year I get so excited when I see them popping out -- it still feels so unexpected, and makes me smile! The sun seems brighter, the days seem longer and even though it's 20 degrees, I swear I can smell warmer weather coming (in spite of knowing that another snow battering is on its way in a couple of days...)

This book is extremely entertaining and humorous, but at the same time I find I can relate at a serious level to each of these writers. It's a book for any woman!
